Developed by a dyslexic Stanford graduate, the Intel Reader is a powerful device for dyslexic and visually impaired readers, that enables them to scan entire pages of text to audio for immediate playback or later review. The gadget is powered by an Intel Atom processor and a high resolution camera, allowing it to capture text from a variety of sources such as books, newspaper, restaurant menus, or academic journals. The scanned text can be magnified and read on the device or listened to via on-board speaker or headphones.
