Ricardo Baiao has come out with this innovative emergency oxygen pack ‘Phantom’ designed specifically for divers. The Phantom is designed to be fixed to the front of a wetsuit, providing divers with 5 minutes of air supply in case they’re running out of air. Unfortunately, it’s just a concept at this stage, but I like the idea!
BenQ Announces nScreen All-In-One PCs
BenQ has rolled out two nScreen all-in-one PCs namely the i91 and i221. The i91 comes with 18.5-inch widescreen joined by the i221 with 21.5-inch widescreen, both feature 16:9 aspect ratio displays and a built-in 1.3 megapixel webcam. Other features for either system include a 1.5GHz AMD Sempron CPU, 1GB of RAM, an ATI Radeon X1200 graphic chipset, 160GB hard drive, Windows XP Home operating system, an Ethernet connection and Wi-Fi module. Both systems are planned to be shipped in Taiwan, Australia and japan this coming Spring. The i91 is already available in Taiwan market at $517, as for the i221 is not yet available until spring.

The touch panel comes with eight program buttons, a power button, dim/bright control, infrared receiver, iCAN network program, flash memory, panel switch and more. With this switches it’s possible to have all kinds of configurations as well as re-programming for light settings. Background for the backlit switches is also optional depends on your interest. Unfortunately, there’s no word on pricing and availability at this stage.
Philips Announces Net TV
Pretty soon we all can enjoy surfing the net through our TV screens, this is made possible with the new Net TV series from Philips, the 8000 and 9000 series which include built in internet access connections. Using their remote, users are able to browse the net with a number of websites and services tailored and enhanced specifically to view through their TV. These include websites such as YouTube, TomTom, eBay, MeteoGroup, Funspot, MyAlbum and Netlog. The only difference between the two series is: the 8000 series will require a wired connection as for the 9000 series will support Wi-Fi connection. Net TV is due to go live in April.
Latest Toshiba 16-inch Satellite Series
Toshiba today released its first 16 inch display notebooks in the form of the Satellite A350, A355, and A355D. These laptops support a maximum of 4GB RAM, up to 400GB hard drive and a built-in DVD burner. Its display offers 1,366 × 768 pixels resolution with aspect ratio of 16:9. All models will boast harman/kardon stereo speakers, an integrated webcam and microphone, 802.11a/g/n WiFi, Ethernet LAN, three USB ports, an eSATA/USB combo port, ExpressCard slot, 5-in-1 media card reader and Firewire port. The price starts from $649.99 upwards, depending on the specs.
Nokia N97 Smartphone – a Laptop in Your Pocket
Nokia has proudly introduced its N97 smartphone during Mobile World Congress 2009. The smartphone comes with a 3.5-inch tilt touch screen and a full QWERTY keypad. There are also a 32GB built-in memory and additional 16GB microSD card. The N97 features GPS, HSDPA, WiFi, stereo Bluetooth, a 5MP camera with dual LED flash, and a USB 2.0 port. Its battery offers enough juice for up to 37 hours of music playing time or 4.5 hours of video playing time. No info on pricing yet.
Latest Full HD 23.6 Inch LCD From I-O Data
I-O Data comes back with its new Full HD 23.6 inch LCD screen. It offers 1290×1080 resolution with 300cd/m2 brightness and 1000:1 contrast ration (up to 10000:1 with I-O DATA’s DRC on). The screen also features both HDMI 1.2a and DVI-D HDCP as well as your average D-SUB. You can purchase it for around 32800 Yen or €250 in Japan.
Samsung Releases Four New SL-Series Digicams
Samsung today releases not one but four new digicams from its SL Series. These point-and-shoot cameras are SL820 and SL620 12.1 Megapixels cameras and SL202 and SL30 are 10 Megapixels cameras. The SL820 boasts 720P video recording and HDMI out. Meanwhile, the SL620 only records VGA video. The Samsung SL202 and SL30 offer a 2.7 inch LCD and a 2.5 inch LCD, respectively. These entry-level cameras offers a 3x optical zoom, and MJPEG VGA 30fps video recording. No info on pricing at this time.
I-0 Data Wireless LAN Draft N Router and Converter
I-O Data today releases two new products in the form of the Wireless Lan Router and Wireless Lan Converter. These gadgets support IEEE 802.11n Draft 2. Unfortunately, there is no word on pricing at this time.
