First Mobile Phone with Smile Shutter

The Sony Ericsson C510 Cyber-shot is the first camera phone in the world that adopts the smile shutter technology. The handset is powered by a 3.2MP camera module with face detection feature and auto focus camera lens. The mobile phone supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 and UMTS/HSPA 850/1900/2100 and comes with Access NetFront Web browser, Java, Bluetooth, Geo tagging of photos (cell-id), and Google Maps. Available in Future Black or Radiation Silver, this camera phone will be available in selected markets from Q1.

LG KP500 Cookie Mobile Phone

LG has released two promotional videos on YouTube for the upcoming LG KP500 mobile phone, which is also know as the LG Cookie. The LG KP500 Cookie is a touchscreen handset with a widget friendly interface and adopts a full web browser. The handset will be available in “Elegant Gold,” “Anodizing Silver,” “Vandyke Brown,” and Black.

Samsung 6.5mm-thin HDTV

Samsung will unveil a 6.5mm thin LED backlit TV panel at the CES 2009 this week. The new ultra-thin Samsung LED TV panel supports a 240Hz refresh rate and Wide Color ControlPro promising a wider spectrum of colors. No word on pricing or availability so far.

Lenovo IdeaCentre A600 All-In-One PC

Here is the IdeaCentre from Lenovo that will be announced at CES 2009. It is an all-in one PC which is touted as “the world’s thinnest all-in-one PC”. The computer comes jam packed with a Lenovo keyboard with a touchpad, Lenovo’s Motion Drive Remote that is also a VOIP handset, motion Drive Remote with an accelerometer, and a (Media Center) remote. Other features include a 21.5 inch display (1920×1080 pixels) with 16:9 ratio, Digital TV Tuner (Media Center compatible), Intel Core Duo CPU, up to 4GB DDR3, up to 1TB of storage, 6x USB 2.0, 1x Firewire (1394), up to 2MP webcam. The price starts from $$999, upwards depending on the specs.

28-inch iMac Rumors

According to rumors, Apple is preparing for the new 28 inch iMac that would be powered by a Corei7, the latest processor from Intel. The latest Corei7 version will run use Intel’s X58 chipset. There is no confirmation from Apple. We will keep you posted.

Alarm Clock with FM Radio

The iLuv iMM183 is an alarm clock that offers two iPod/ iPhone docks so you can plug two iPhones or one iPhone and one iPod touch. The docking station comes equipped with a remote control that allows you to browse the gadgets without having to remove them from the dock. Other features include an FM tuner. Priced at $150 a pop, this weather-resistant video camera offers high definition recording at 720p at 60 fps. Other features include SD/SDHC memory card slot (up to 32GB), HDMI output, a 2 inch LCD display and remote control compatible. Available in black, red, pink, blue and yellow, the Zx1 can capture video in low-light conditions.

It seems that Vuzix will introduce its latest head-mounted display at CES this year. Dubbed as the Wrap 920AV, this wearable gadget has the optics that have been improved and will offer a better viewing experience. Sadly, there is no further info about this gadget. Stay tuned for more updates.
